Why is Dylan at Witch U?

ok, if this is Marnie's freshman year of college and Dylan is younger than her, why is he also going to Witch U? Or if he's not he has a student ID (they show that in one of the trailers).

Well from what I remember Marnie's Mom is way overprotective and wouldn't let Marnie go alone so she forced Dylan to go with her.
