Mötley Crüe is awful. They weren't talented and were a sub-par hair band that some people cared about in the 80's. According to the plot on IMDb, it just sounds like a band doing debaucherous (I love that word) stuff brought to us by the director of "Jackass".
It’s being made because Netflix needs mediocre product: recognizable, cheap, disposable.
Please don’t tell me to “watch this.” The band’s main claim to fame was Tommy Lee’s relationships with Heather Locklear and Pamela Anderson. I’m not watching this. I’ll watch Polar for the third time before I watch this.
I had their Shout At the Devil album on vinyl. There is only one ultimate LA band, and there will only ever be only one. It’s not Crue, I t’s not KISS. It is, and always shall be, The Doors.
EDIT: This band is so popular? I just took a look in this site’s transferred-from-IMDb Motley Crue section, and not one post.
Motley Crue was never one of my top favorites but a band I liked a lot and saw them in concert quite a few times. I rarely listen to them anymore but still like some of their music.
I've gone to hundreds of concerts in my life but the time I had 3rd row to see them, I was nearly crushed.
The last time I saw them was when they toured with KISS and I couldn't stand them. Vince sounded terrible. I also had enough of their filthy mouths --oh and the bimbos too. I couldn't wait till they were off the stage.
This movie was dark, as I had expected. Most of it just made me uncomfortable. It's probably a movie I'll never watch again.
It really made me love my favorite movie, Bohemian Rhapsody even more. 😊
The Dirt made them look like they just partied and did drugs constantly (they basically did, but anyway), there was not much shown from the musician side, like, where the hell was the creation of their most popular song Kickstart My Heart? I was like, yeah, now they are showing Nikki's heart really being kick started with the adrenaline shots. And than they don't show how he got the idea for this song? There was maybe like, 3/4 concert shots as well? I think MGK did a good job acting, but he still did not remind me of Tommy Lee, they also skipped completely over Pamela Anderson in his life.
I wanted more about the music too. Everyone pretty much knows what party animals they were. I personally didn't need to see it. At least not in every scene.
Yep, no Pamela either. No Donna.
MGK was good, I agree.
