Although fans don't know when they'll see the next Friday the 13th arrive, some are asking whether the slasher franchise needs another sequel at all.

shareI've been saying for a while now that they should make another one because it would be the 13th movie in the franchise and they should call it "Friday the 13th Part 13." They could really milk this one.
Maybe also try for a black Jason and a trans girl as well. That would really make some people's heads explode into a constant state of pure rage.

I’m the weirdo that wouldn’t mind an artsy-fartsy indie take on the IP….just to change things up. Like, an honest, believable take on the original story. Either that, or an all out smorgasbord of gore 😆

Haha…I’d either go indie, or super trashy (which I suspect the fan base would REALLY want). 😆. Ultra violent with a fair share of kink.
I think I’d find anything in between boring. Go full “crazy”, or make it genuinely interesting.
lots of tits, sex, drug use, profanity, and brutal kills...no other way to make it.

IMO, if you’re going to do the “origin story”, then it should be an indie-style slow burning mystery. If you want to do a “Jason Movie”, then all bets are off, and do a gory nuts movie.
Yeah they have to go either real dark or sleazy if they reboot this series again. One smart YouTube creator said they should devote 75% of the movie on Pamela voorhees - a prequel of sorts. I dunno if this will work especially with todays horror fans
