Knowing I have seen the most grusome movie ever...

I hated watching this movie but I have to admit it feels good knowing that I have seen the worst of the worst and that no other movie will really bother me as much as this one has (at least for now...)

There are actually many films much worse than this in a multitude of categories.

While I have seen plenty of the movies described in this list and would agree that most of them are more disgusting/disturbing than Hostel or it's sequel, that doesn't mean they are worth watching.

NONE of those movies are any good. There only purpose is to be over the top and they do so at the expense of every other element that makes a film a film. So don't watch any of these movies unless you are doing so purely so you can see some *beep* up *beep* Otherwise it is a profound waste of your time.

nope. Some of these disturbing/disgusting movies are good.

But yeah, this thread is silly. Hostel 1 and 2 are nowhere near the most disturbing or violent films out there, and while Cannibal Holocaust has been brought up repeatedly here, it's mostly disturbing for the shots where they torture and kill actual animals on screen. It's a unique and surprisingly disturbing bit of cinema, but "worst ever?"

no way.

I'm not going to nudge you in the "right" direction. I'd suggest you just keep thinking you've seen the most horrific thing ever. Don't ever watch "Men Behind the Sun" or "Henry: Portrait" because, well, they're actually pretty good movies (well, at least Henry is), but they're so disgusting and horrifying that they ruin a part of you.

Be afraid. The august underground stuff seems like a self indulgent "aristocrats joke" to me, but if it actually bothers people then mission accomplished?

I didn't think it was very gruesome. Well...it was gruesome but in that very fake, cartoonish and over the top kind of way. I didn't think it seemed real at any time. I just recently watched Cannibal Holocaust and I think that movie does a very good job with its violence, it is very gory and it made me feel sick. blah.

Check out Antichrist, A Serbian Film, Inside...

Salo isn't that bad, yet someone always has to bring it up. As far as I'm concerned it's very overrated.

Human Centipede isn't too gruesome either. Sure, the concept is repulsive, but you really don't see anything. In fact, the Hostel films are much more gruesome, as far as what you see. As for HC2, I hear it's much more graphic than the first, but I haven't watched it yet.
