does anyone think that pacino kinda sucked in this?

dont get me wrong though, i really like al pacino. and i was very excited when i heard that hes gonna be the villain.

but when it came out, i was dissapointed because i personally think that he didnt give his best performance.

anyone felt the same way?

Everyone DID suck in this, not just Pacino.

I like his performance. His way of being nasty but funny. Making every dirty deed seem almost a kindness.
One scene in particular worked very well for me. It was pointed out by another poster who found fault with it:

It was more the writing. He was so one-dimensional. They put in unnecessary scenes of how nasty he is. We get the point so why have the pointless scene of him firing some random maintenance guy for the green water.

As I recall, as the maintenance guy starts to explain what he thinks he might’ve done wrong Pacino leaps in saying "Don't blame yourself! We should've fired you weeks ago. Goodbye!"

Phoned in or not, his delivery was impeccable there.

yea I feel that he could have gave a much better performance as Willy Bank,, I was definitely disappointed.

are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite

You kidding? I lived him here! He's playing a slimy backstabbing shallow casino owner and he played it charmingly.

Nothing charming about Willy Bank; he's just one more jerk, only with a lot of money, insecurity, and outright paranoia. But that's what makes Pacino's performance a good one: You REALLY don't like the character. Pacino did his job.
