Why did the movie have the "Sue dies" fake out at the end?
Having something so traumatizing and suddenly dark is extremely out of place for an otherwise light-hearted, fluffy (PG-rated) superhero movie. Did they think that having Sue get killed (temporarily) would add some emotional weight to the movie? Was trying to give Jessica Alba an emotional death scene the filmmakers' way of making Sue more important to the story (who prior to this, was whining about her wedding being ruined and having a zit) than she actually was leading up to that point?
