Worst Marvel film franchise?

Granted, the second film was a little better than the first (except if you ever read the comic), but I have never seen a series that was a bigger embarrassment for Marvel. These movies had a big budget, actors with fantastic acting pedigrees (save Jessica Alba), and amazing source material - All to be ruined with an inane screenplay, laughable dialog, bad acting, and poor and very misguided direction.

In your opinion is there a worse series (or single installment) of Marvel movies than this Razzie worthy franchise?

List them and tell me why/how they could be worse than these stinkers...

Ghost Rider, for one, and to an extent Daredevil but most especially Elektra.

Honestly these films aren't that bad and they're pretty true to the comics. Reed, Ben and Johnny are all perfect, at least, we just need better plots, a better Sue and above all a Doom that is actually threatening rather than laughable.

I would say this is one of the worst. I still think that the Daredevil/Elecktra two film franchise was the worst.

Hopefully the F4 reboot will be good.

I'd go with GHOST RIDER, but I should probably watch SPIRITS OF VENGEANCE again. It's been a while, but I personally don't recall it being as fun as the underrated original.

Clearly you haven't seen Howard the Duck, The Punisher (pick a version), Blade: Trinity, the 1970s Captain America or the 1990 Captain America.

Mercifully, with the exception of the 1970s Captain America none of those films had sequels so whether they count as franchises I don't know...

The worst is certainly Daredevil/Elektra. But Iron Man 3 was so bad that franchise may be the worst now. Those Ghostrider movies are fun to watch. They're in the "so bad it's good" category.

Fantastic 4 films were no great shakes but The Punisher films were horrible.

Dolph Lundgren as Punisher kicks the living shyyyyt out of lots of Marvel Movies you guys hated. Pick a version, we got comedians. Thomas Jane's movie put me to sleep every time I attempted to watch it.

Worst actor to be in a Marvel Franchise, Tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobey Maguire. Who was snorting that day, to make him SpiderMan and Kirst Dunce, because she was far from looking like Mary Jane. Why wasn't James Franco Spider-Man ??? He looked like Peter Parker to me from the cartoons and in Planet of the Apes. I wouldn't have cared if they got a knockoff of Shannon Elizabeth to have played Mary Jane and Tobey with his annoying name and face = The Goblin. Why ? Because he looks stupid, extra nerdy and pulled off that duel personality in part 3.
