Not a patch on BBC version

Having also recently seen the british BBC TV version (6 episodes) this film is really poor in comparison.

I urge you guys to watch this, it really was fantastic. Paul Abbott involved with both but the film doesnt do the story justice at all.

I think most of have seen both will agree?

I saw the movie version first although I do remember the TV series being shown here years ago (NZ) but I didn't watch it. The movie was fantastic and kept me on the edge of my seat. When I recently saw the BBC series for sale I bought it and watched the final episode today. It was excellent and I wish I had watched it when it first came out. It helped that I could only remember patches of the movie and I had forgotten the main twists so they were still suprising. (Even though I couldn't recall the movie content I did recall that I really loved the movie)

What posters need to remember here is that one is a 2-3 hour movie and the other is a 6 part series with each part 56 minutes long. Of course there will be differences! They were also set in different countries with different political systems so the original had to be adapted to an American setting. I think they did a good job of that. The only downside of watching the series was looking at James McAvoy and seeing him as his character in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! lol

This is the American version, a major motion picture with Hollywood star credential. There is no comparison. You only watched it, if you did at all, so as you could post some pompous nonsense. At times British people can be bigger wankers than the most obnoxious yank. Australia rules!
