How many 16 years olds know anything about 70's music.
Um.....I did at that age. When I was in High School most of my classmates that were male liked Bodyjar, Blink 182 and NOFX, I liked Rob Zombie, Soulfly, Slipknot, Static X, Coal Chamber, Deftones etc... and introduced alot of them to those bands that they didn't even know about before and then really took a liking to them. When I was 17 my Dad introduced me to Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles and The Sweet amongst many others and I've listened to that stuff ever since while almost everyone else my age listened to whatever the top 40 pop songs at the moment were and the only real rock/metal anyone my age listened to was Nirvana and Metallica because they're so main-stream and approachable. I was never trying to be different or unique, I just loved listening to good music and never liked any pop bs I heard and I haven't listened to a radio station in over 10 years, I like looking for and discovering music on my own or stuff my Dad reccomends.
