this is ranked higher than 2 and 3.

ITS DEFINATELY BETTER THAN 3..2 IS A STRETCH FOR ME,BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO DISLIKE THE OVERLY COMMERCIAL BIG GUNS AND MUSCLES ACTIONS FLICK.

It's way superior to 2 & 3, which were too comic booky. "Rambo" is more gritty and almost as great as "First Blood" in its unique way.

After First Blood, this was the only Rambo movie which made me feel how terrible war actually is. Definitely 2nd best Rambo movie.

This was at one time #71 of the best 100 movies of all time on IMDB!

Not surprised, this is a solid film.

2 is good fun but 3 is utter crap.

And for a reason. Stallone really surprised me as a director.

This is probably as good a Rambo film as you could hope for in terms of a realistic depiction of such a man, were he to exist. But I far prefer the story elements and cultural exploration of the previous two.
