6.7 My Ass
This was IMO the second best X_Men film. Thats a load of garbage!
shareIts an above average score for a subpar movie.
shareNever concern yourself with imdb ratings. With all the nut jobs on here, it would be impossible to determine if a movie is good or bad from them. The ONLY thing that is important is what YOU thought of the movie, ,,
again, don't even think twice about what other people think, ,, they are irrelevant.
Example; This is my second favorite movie in the franchise. I know I'm in the minority, , and that's Ok with me, , to each his own, , don't really care what it scored on here, , and I never will. I have it a 10, since it's one of my favorite movies,,,,, See how easy that is?
Never interrupt silence unless you're
going to improve it
Again, I appreciate the sentiment that you are conveying - yes the rating is based upon your enjoyment of the movie, however the scale is still important to consider. Rating this movie a 10 is fine if you believe that the movie is perfect, and that their is no room for improvement, just the same as rating this a 1 says that there was nothing right about this movie. That's how the scale works.
You enjoyed the film - that's fantastic, I'm sincerely glad that you did. However, do you personally feel that the movie is perfect? That there is nothing that they could have done to enhance the film, or something that they shouldn't have done that detracted from the experience a little? If you do then spot on, if not then it really doesn't deserve a 10 from you.
I've made my stance on this film clear - I think it was a travesty considering what they could have done, and I think it was just plain bad film making. Its only saving grace was Lieb Schreiber's Sabertooth. The effects were screwy, the story was all over the place, the rampant inclusion of various mutants for no reason, and lack of a clear vision for the movie. It was a focus group at its core i.e. "Let's do this, because people will like it if this happens" and so you end up with a dissatisfying experience that's disjointed as they try to put their set pieces of the puzzle together to form a movie. Of course some people are going to enjoy it, and I have nothing against them. Personally I just think that this movie is around the 4/10 mark, and that 6.7 is extremely generous to an ultimately flawed film.
It is. , The good thing about the truth is, it doesn't matter if you except or agree, ,,
it's still the truth
It doesn't even matter (to me) that it was different than the comics. Every comic movie has at least SOME changes from the original source material. That's the price of moving a story from one medium to another. Even if you forget about all that though, this was a badly written movie with a plot full of gaping holes. All the flashy action scenes in the world won't change that either.
shareI completely agree. I liked this movie a lot. Not as much as the second Wolverine but it was good.
shareA ton of scenes bring this movie down.
Like the whole moon story. Jesus, cringe.

Yeah. If they really, REALLY had to stick some Native stuff in there, then they should have stuck to Canadian history, and made his mom a Native (as she would have been, if his dad was a fur trader/trapper, as was the only thing he could have been in Rupert's Land at the time), and have HER tell him that sappy story when he was, like, 3 or something. Then let him have an encounter with a real wolverine out in the bush.
Whatever happened to "each to his own"? That includes how people enjoy a movie, rate a movie, or scale a movie.
shareThis film still has fans haha. Re-watched it again, 5 years older and uglier, and it's even worse then I remember. The only good thing that remains about this movie is the opening sequence with Wolverine/Sabretooth, and its a very sudden drop of quality shortly after.
Oh well, everyone has their own opinions.
It rocks, Weapon X origin. It deserves more than 8.
