I never even knew there was a sequel, untill i ran into it on some tv links site. I got totally pumped, but turned down my expectation to avoid disappointment.
Didn't work...i still got |=ucking disappointed.
Okay it had it's moments, especially during the promotion. I was like: "Okay..this could be interesting. We get to see different lifestyles."
Don't pay to see it, it ain't worth it.
i watched Butterfly Effect 1 right after the sequel. Suddenly i forgot about the shame part 2 left.

If you're gonna download it for free, then go for it, although you'll be extremely disappointed. If you're planning to pay to see it, just forget it. It's a terrible sequel. The first one was amazing; one of my favorite movies. The second one, to be blunt but perfectly accurate, sucked.
Basically, the only reason he goes back in time is to change his career. And a small fraction of the time, to save his friends (once) and change his girlfriend. I won't go too in-depth there. All in all, it was a MAJOR disappointment, especially compared to the first one. The sequel was just so... Flat, un-emotional, and shallow.
I just now got back from seeing this with my girlfriend. It actually made her cry. Because it was so sad? No, because it was such a letdown!
Wow... well ok. I'm not going to waste my time with this then. I feel like I'd be disappointed with it like I was with American Psycho 2...
sharelol if you want to see it, I would say go ahead. I didnt think it was a very good movie, but in no way did i think was bad. As one guy before me put, I think it suffered from a poor script, but the overall idea was ok i guess.
I had two complaints about the movie that made me say "wtf?!" though.
1.The part in the movie where he just picked up an investor account and automatically went into the future (which pissed me off cause how in the hell could that even happen. Just pick up a damn folder? WTF?)
2. The ending (The thing that he did to himself which I thought was just plain DUMB. Why the hell did he do it anyway? Made no sense.
All in all, the acting was ok, nothing special. I didnt think it was boring at all, but didnt live up to the 1st film (which i love).
I have a ton of downloaded movies on my laptop that im trying to catch up on and this one made the cut for today, but if you are a true fan of the original i would say check it out anyway.
