Best Scene In The Movie

When the bomb detonates at the end and Capa is standing in front of the wall of light. I'm seriously getting chills just writing about it. The photography, the music, how the entire story has been building up to that point, it's all sublime. Almost every time I watch this movie that scene makes my eyes water.

Kind of similar, I like the scene where Kaneda faces the oncoming sunlight and is burned away. That wave of heat. Beautiful and horrific.

KANEDA!

This was my favorite as well. The scene in the glass hallway with the fire was also great.

Am literally watching that part now-I'd forgotten how beautiful and moving it is. The music and the "WHAT DO YOU SEE? " as he's dying is just...phenomenal.

When Capa is in his spacesuit on his way to activate the payload, and he falls. When he is screaming to himself in frustration as he drags himself to his feet, you know that he knows that the entirety of Earth is on his shoulders. He forces himself to his feet knowing he is on a mission that means he is going to sacrifice himself for all humankind.

Epic and moving.

I LOVE that scene, his frustrated scream is so raw, pure emotion. But there are so many amazing moments in this movie, it's hard for me to pick one.

Definitely when he starts heading over to the bomb, but when he falls down and freaks out, it always makes me cry. Damn I love this movie.

Agreed! It's heartbreaking.

Will Graham: I don't find you that interesting.
Hannibal Lecter: You will.

reply

Totally agree. Emotional peak at that moment. Cillian Murphy is the best.

reply

Yeah, 'Capa's jump' was a great moment of the film. Great tension, great music & great acting by Murphy showing Capa's despair as he trips in his heavy spacesuit "Fuuuuu*k!".

I used to have the Willem Dafoe living under my bed.

Kaneda's death scene was the best in the movie. I loved all the scenes where you see you see the actors faces from within the helmet's, the emotions and sweat on their faces. So well done.

I thought the Kaneda scene was most powerful

reply

Yeah that part is cool.

I love all this scenes mentioned above plus these two:

Cassie:"Searle? We're going to go now. We love you."

And

Icarus: "Capa, warning. You're dying...all crew are dying."
