op. get a life. its footie there, its soccer here. deal with it
and did you know that to call anyone a retard is a form of defamation? some people are mentally disabled, or challenged. the term 'retard', is insulting to those who you would label as that, and defamatory. and to specifically call anyone that is libellous and you could be charged in a court of law
you oughta go back and play with the other chavs maybe?
i'm canadian. i love soccer, europeans call it footie. and the world cup is far more important than the superbowl, to me. i wish we had decent pro soccer teams in north america. i love playing soccer personally, and was the captain of the girls soccer team in high school
i hate the rioting, but its happened in the states too. mostly in new york. people are so happy their team won they lose it. or so peeved when they dont they break things. these are the acts of mentally unstable people, not true fans
im not crazy about football, but maybe i'd start watching it again if it werent so full of crap. multimillion dollar paychecks, fancy cars, lots of drugs and women. maybe the guys who play it should be more like vince papale, you know, real people, with heart, who want to play just to play. who dont destroy their bodies with drugs. what kind of an example do they set for kids. i hate that they are seen as heroes among kids. same thing in baseball, my favourite. most of the players are fine, but when a player has a severe drug problem too many teams turn a blind eye to it. new york, im a mets fan. canada, blue jays. boston white sox too
but if a player has for example, a problem with cocaine, and is seen as a hero to kids, i see that as a problem. in any sport, i think that a conviction should lead to that player not being allowed to play any major sport until its proven that he has recovered from his need for narcotics
