Who knew Jessica Biel could act?
I didn't, before I saw this movie. She was actually really good.

shareIt's interesting how some people thought she was good and some thought she was awful. Personally, I wasn't buying her performance. It seemed a little forced as was her accent. Norton too I was surprised to find unmoving. Norton has a strange pitch to his voice that just didn't seem to fit this role to me. The best performance had to go to the prince. Still the movie was some what entertaining albeit nothing special.

...And what a body!
shareI knew she can act because she always could. First time I saw her was in "7th heaven". Didn't like that series that much but Jessica Biel fascinated me. She was really really good in that. She was already pretty back then but she played a priest's daughter ...
Some years later she became smoking hot and was consequently cast for roles that might be bigger but focussed more on her looks. She just didn't have much to work with in movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Blade III.
she didnt impress me in this movie.. but Edward norton did of course, and paul G.
shareI went in to this film expecting to dislike Biel's performance.
I was wrong. I thought she was really good. Color me surprised.

Wait a minute... who am I here?
I do agree that one wouldn't think Biel to have the acting chops to tackle a prominent role in this film. But she acquits herself adequately enough.

I was surprised too! Definitely my favorite Jessica Biel's performance...
Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

Actually ,she didn't have to act,She just had to be herself,
What she did. This might sound cheesy but,What's surprising me the most,is that some casting directors still know their job and don't go for dumb choices like Cruz or Diaz or ****.
Excuse me but truth had to be told. Also I like Ppl like Mel Gibson who do what they want and don't give a ****.
This is good, this is very good.
"Warden, Warden listen to me be brave and set Geronimo free".
Not much was asked of her admittedly in this role, but she held her own against Norton and Giamitti, they are great award winning actors, no mean feat.
Also her subsequent roles have established not only her acting ability which is very good but her unusual ability to make crappy roles in films alot more interesting. She's also quite versatile.
She's not used nearly enough in my own opinion.
