Obviously won't be Clooney bc that was just a late fun thing for the Flash after Gunn decided the DCEU was done (originally it was to be Keaton with Supergirl, then Cavill & Gadot) , but apparently Keaton filmed an AM2 cameo as it was intended that he would be the new DCEU Batman replacing Affleck due to events of The Flash so had filmed scenes for the end of The Flash, Aquaman 2, and Batgirl that was canned (which was presumably set in the DCEU and even had JK Simmons as Gordon reprising his role from JL) and there was to be a potential Batman Beyond movie (man his return as batman did not go the way he expected!)
it was also revealed Affleck filmed a AM2 cameo (possibly after it was decided Keaton's was to be cut?)
But maybe they'll just cut out a bat cameo altogether now (so not to ruin The Flash's fun end with Clooney)
I honestly don't know & can't even guess at this point. Things are such a mess right now that for all I know, they're just gonna use Adam West's Batman.
shareAquaman 2 could be set in the new DCU, or at least Aquamoa himself remain. The after-credits scene of The Flash showed Barry telling Arthur that although Bruce's appearance changed from universe to universe, Arthur was always the same. I think that might have been Gunn laying the groundwork so that if AQM2 hits anything like as big as the first one Momoa can stay (and maybe even fold the events of AQM2 into the DCU?). Just a theory. I can't see any other reason for an otherwise pointless scene.

In my opinion, they made a mistake announcing the DCU pans before this universe "came to an end".
I get that Gunn is trying to "correct things" but he should've just let it die without interfering. It's not like most of this stuff is gonna carry over.
Have to say I share your scepticism on AQM2's numbers. Like you, I hope I'm wrong.
shareThe test/first screenings said it was ''the worst DCEU movie'' but I call bullshit. Those things as a whole are almost always BS.
Cause remember when the reactions said The Flash was ''The Best film in the entire DCEU'' and ''The best thing DC has ever made''. yeah, about that...
I have real trouble believing it's worse than Justice League. I enjoyed The Flash and if I like AQM2 as much as that I'll be happy. Anything more will be a bonus.
shareMy biggest problem with The Flash was that, they hyped it up WAY too much. There was no freaking way this movie was ever living up to those expectation. The even 'roped' Tom Cruise into it. lol
And I honestly can't see Aquaman 2 being worse than Josstice League, Suicide Squad 2016 or WW84. Those 3 are easily my LEAST favorite entries in the entire DCEU.
Oh, The Flash was definitely overhyped. Desperation, I guess.

shareThe first one was honestly an enjoyable action adventure. I genuinely had fun with it.
I'm keeping my expectations for the sequel a bit low but hope I'm surprised though.
Not just the CGI, I feel they're throwing this film under the bus. Gunn doesn't seem to have anything for it & Momoa is ready to 'jump ship'' as soon as possible to do Lobo.
ever since Gunns DCU was announced it just feels like the DCEU was cooked. audiences be like 'whats the point?' idk but it feels like thats the case and it seems to be reflected in the box office. i genuinely thought Flash would break 1b easy as it was the multiverse like SM NWH/Dr Strange 2 and like a legacy sequel to Bat89, yet beyond the hard core DCEU fans and Bat89 fans its like no one cared (similar to JL2017 in that regard)
shareSame thing happened with Shazam 2. I know he isn't a big name but the response of the film was, "what's the point? It's all getting rebooted anyway"
It was a mistake announcing the DCU before the DCEU ended. I mean they could've just waited till the year ended. That's it.
