Why do I get the feeling DC's implementation of the idea wont match up with Marvel's?
This movie finished filming a couple of months before NWH was even released, and Keaton’s return was announced back in the Summer of 2020.

The studio execs are out for a buck, and they saw Marvel put Maguire, Garfield, and Holland together in a film and make billions, so now they're putting a bunch of previous Batman actors together in a film and crossing their fingers. :)
