Poll: Do you think V was gay?

I'd say he was (and I am not homophobic).

He just seemed so queer to me.

Vote 1 for Yes he is gay

Vote 2 for no.

Thank you

1 & 2

If you are Gay he is supposed to be Gay. If you are straight he is straight. If you are a man V is a man and if your are a women V is a woman. If you are white V is supposed to be white and if you are black V is supposed to be Black.

The Wachowskis were involved, so he was definitely gay.

1 & 2.

Not gay.

In the end of the film, he says that he fell in love with Evey. They shared a kiss just moments before.

That would mean he is straight to some degree, at least.

So he could have probably been bisexual technically.

reply

Not that kind of love though. It was a deep friendship.

reply

Of course he was. That is why he was experimented on. They were all homosexuals and different.

reply

Is it okay to expermient on the people that are different? Are there any hot girls that are different that we can use for our personal gain?

reply

Those people were monsters and got what they deserved.

reply

They didn't just incarcerate homosexuals under this fictional, totalitarian government. You'll recall that they made all sorts of different people "disappear," including dissidents.

Who cares?

I don't believe he was gay. I think he was attracted to Evey, but knew they could have no future together, so he kept the relationship platonic. She, on the other hand, became emotionally attached to him, despite all the creepy stuff he did to her.

I can understand why some people might think he's gay, because he doesn't actively try to jump Evey's bones, he's very theatrical in personality and how he conducts himself. But frankly, he shows more of the personality traits of a Gay Ally, a straight person who empathizes with homosexuals and supports them as friends. After all, when he was incarcerated, he had no communication with anyone at all but the gay woman in the prison cell next door, blindly giving him notes written on toilet paper, telling her story to anybody who might be willing to read it and learn the truth.

So the final verdict is, I vote 2.

I was just to open a thread about this same topic. I think V was Gay, only because it was explicitly implied that all the ones taken to the Larkhill Detention Center were all gay. Maybe the graphic novel was more specific, but the movie is all gays were kidnapped and experimented upon. The lesbian actress in the cell next to his. There was a scene where they show a black guy and a light skin guy together. I think it was V, lol.
