I just saw this movie and am not sure if anyone else asked this question but...

Why is that school so dark, especially in the cafeteria?

Yes! I've seen this movie a bunch of times and this time I remember thinking, "Why the hell is it so dark!!" Like every school I've ever been to had these big florescent lights that no one would escape from and this school had a lone lamp for each room.

the only light showing at all was coming from the windows!

I thought the school was keeping the lights low due to budget cuts. :-)

You guys say so, but in my school the hall is even darker than in the movie! You have no idea how depressing it is...

Yepp. I agree.
My school's pretty dark too. It has a lot of skylights and windows, though, so that makes up for it. They rarely turn on the lights in the hallways so when it's raining, it'll look a lot like this movie.

Come to think of it, my school rarely has the lights on. lol. But yeah, we're a lot happier than these kids.
