Don't they have any lights in that school?

I just saw this movie and am not sure if anyone else asked this question but...

Why is that school so dark, especially in the cafeteria?

Clearly, the director was trying to show the virulent atmosphere that was taken place at school. Well that's what I got from it anyway.

Some people count sheep. Doesn't work with AlwaysCool, just gets him excited.

How is it virulent...?

If THAT annoyed you, then you would really be annoyed by "Thirteen"

god, thirteen made me feel terrible, as did this movie.
the darkness theme made me feel all sluggish for some reason.

shorti6234 is right on
i was wondering the same thing
why was it so dark in the cafeteria
i am laughing becuase i am not the only one who noticed this

reply

Glad to see I'm not the only one who noticed this.

Dumbest thing I'd ever seen.

reply

its not dumb but I guess it wasnt obvious to everyone.

To someone who is been bullied a school is a evil and horrible place to be. So by making it dark they give the viewer that atmosphere.

reply

I think they were attending X-Files Senior High.

i thought the same thing! the first ten minutes they look like they go to school in a cave somewhere it was ridiculous i dnt care if it was for a mood effect

reply

i know right, lol! i noticed that the most when vanessas mom came into the school. i think they did that purposely for the movie though to give it a more dark feel and mood!
