This ISN'T that bad of a movie...

Honestly, I did glance at this and think that this probably won't be a good
movie. But honestly there's a lot of bad movies out there and this one sure doesn't surpass them all.

Paris Hilton is a pretty good actress in this movie. If it isn't a lot for ya'll to think about, I haven't seen her genuinely smile a lot. This movie showed her portraying a character that was a good person and she pulled it off really well. Look at the talent not at the person. Sure there's probably a lot of greater actresses out there but I was proud of her because this showed off some of her good talents.

Jason Mewes is a pretty good actor. He pulled of this role amazingly well. Maybe the whole point of the movie was a little lame but he was one of those roles, you just had to like because he could hold his own.

Notice, I'm not talking about these people personally. IN the movie, their ROLES were pretty well acted.
So yes, the movie was decent, i've seen better but I think specifically Paris and Jason were two good leads that acted well together and brought out their roles very well.

This is one of the worst movies ever made.

reply

Yea, it is. This movie is horrendous!!!!

reply

Thank you! Horrendous is the word I wanted!

I am watching this as we speak and I have never seen anything so bad. It is a complete hack movie. I am only 20 minutes in... I can't see watching this one through.

I watched it to c if it was as bad as its 1 point something score would imply. To tell you the truth my expectations where so low that I was plesantly surprised. Yeah its a bad movie overall but the male actors, almost all of them where pretty good. I cannot deny that paris was a bit weak, ok a lot weak but she did pull of the nice girl and she had dark hair, wow! Lol o.k so a lot of the jokes where lame but i have to say that as an excercise in what not to film... its pretty perfect.
Poor Paris tho, one of the worst actresses ever... i think i might go watch the rest of her films. Makes you feel good about yourself.

OK IF PARIS REALLY DIDNT HAVE BLOND HAIR IN THIS THEN I DONT WANT TO SEE IT. I LIKE MY GIRLS SKINNY, PRETTY, AND BLOND.

"You have to look at the TALENT?!" You're being serious?! Please... she's a talent vacuum! If she was filthy rich white trash, she wouldn't even have been cast in a teen horror movie! She's terrrible!

I agree with you. It isn't that bad. I like Jason Mewes' acting. It's a nice break from Jay and Silent Bob. Don't get me wrong, I love watching Jay and Silent Bob, but it's cool knowing that they do other movies besides those movies. And the storyline wasn't that bad either. Also Uncle Earl was funny as hell.

I'm not as dumb as you look.

reply

yeah...I watched this movie thinking it probably wouldn't be any good at all. It went straight to dvd and had a lot of bad reviews on here. BUT, it wasn't that bad at all. It was no oscar contender, and Paris won't be winning any awards, but it was by no means as bad as people have made out or anywhere near deserving of it's ranking on worst movies list. I can think of plenty worse. This just seems to be a case of people disliking an actress in not reviewing accordingly. Oh well

i didnt' think it was that bad either,, i mean it's not going to win any awards,, but it wasn't that bad

Caught this last night on cable and it wasn't too bad; thought Paris came off very good, actually, and the whole 'magic chicken' thing was a hoot. Gave it a 4, the equivalent of 2 stars.

I thought it was good.
Paris didn't even have that much screen time, so, yeah.

I agree that the movie wasn't that bad. I mean it wasn't a blockbuster but kept me entertained the whole way. Paris Hilton did an awesome job, I would like to see her in more serious good person roles like this one. Jason Mewes looked along with the whole studdered at the beginning, the first 15 minutes was kind of odd because I thought i was going to be let down, but everyone got comfortable in their roles and played them very well. The guy playing Hayden did an awesome job, he gave the best performance of the cast with Paris coming in 2nd. As far as the directing it got better as the movie went its like they were learning as they went. One this I would like to see is better audio, the dialogue was a bit low, and not alot of music during scenes, they had alot of awkward silences. Overall I have it a 7, it didn't bore me like other low budget B movies.

i just finished watching this film. there are worse films made than this. for a film to watch late at night as i just did, it served its purpose in killing an hour and some change. it was cool to see kevin smith in a small role here, along with jason mewes as the lead. paris hilton's performance didn't bother me. really, the film is about a young man trying to save his father's streakhouse. that's noble enough. i rated it a 5/10. it sure is better than a 1.9/10.
