It seems like women are always psychotic in movies - this guy moved out of his house, seems to be a caring father, yet gets treated like a serial killer by his ex wife. I find it to be unnecessary and distracting from the main plot.
shareI couldn't agree more w/you. I am watching this movie now, and Krya S's character is getting on my nerves. Why would she think her husband would suddenly start abusing their kids? And then she accuses him of destroying the family, but she's the one w/the move-in ready boyfriend?
Ugh! She is beyond annoying, and I'm sick of women being portrayed as annoying and naggish in a lot of movies. We aren't all that way.
You have to look at the way the story was writen.
THEY, (writer/director) portayed the Father as a soft spoken guy with a caring additude. He never even had a bad thing to say to or about the ex.
On the other hand, we were cleary suppose to see the Mother as the complete opposite.
They never gave us a reason to see the Dad as anything other than a 'Nice Guy'.
They never gave us a reason to see the Mom as anything other than a 'B!tchy Woman'.
We have no idea why she was such a Dick to him. So if that's all the information they are going to give us, that must be the message they are trying to portray. " She's a B!tch!"

shareUsually it IS the case and the father in the family gets all the dirt after divorce. At least in my country 90% of children go to mommies care when divorce happens. Then, moms usually talk trash about their dad and they rarely even see their kids again. Some calling them pedos or just violent and social officer ladies always buy it. Some equality huh? Dads are as loving and able parents as moms.
