Based on a true story? Seriously?

Yea they love using that. Which means its based on someone saying they were possessed at one time.





Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

It's based on a true story told by some guy who's trying to sell a cheap wooden box on e-bay, now you believe everything they tell you on e-bay don't you??


Classics are names that everyone heard, yet most have never seen!!

It's based on a true story of a bunch of superstitious idiots who fell for an old folktale. It's in the extra features, but I couldn't bear to watch it all. I liked the movie, but the real life "account" is ridiculous.

saying "based on True Story" before movies!

But such possessions happens,
actually it happened with few people in my expanded family.
one just happend recently with my little cousin.
she is girl, and she is child (may be around 10 years)
and she got "possessed" when she went to pee in very old toilet,
in her very old primary school, at the time when school was off, and every/mostly kids had gone.
Later, she was not normal, as shown kinda in the movie,
and actually that demon talked back.
maybe that domon was not some hardcore demon like "dibbuk"
so itt left after little conversation.

yeah, maybe you laugh.
you belive in all "aliens" and "extraterrestrials" kida stuff...
but you don't believe if any creature (madeup of some other matter or energy)
could exist just side by side of you.

Now that dialogue in the movie.
"demons possess only pure souls."
actually reminded me, my that cousin.
(little kids cannot be much sinful)

The box is real and the story of the Dibbuk is real. Look up the Dibbuk Box on google and you'll find a website with the entire story of where the box came from , etc. The actual plot of the movie is made up though.

I will only say this once. Whatever you think or say afterwards won't change anything. Those who believe me good! Those who don't you'll see one day. The tagline "fear the demons who doesn't fear God" that's false. All demons fear God. Even satan fears God. There are no ghosts. Just demons. When people die they go either to hell or heaven. No one can return or make contact. When you look at this movie the jews( and I love the jews, they are God's people and I respect them) they are afraid of the box and the demon. You can't cast out a demon when you are afraid of it. The only thing that will work with any demon, is Jesus Christ. In His name and His power we can cast out demons just like He did. He just said to the demon who possessed a man to be gone and the demon went out and into a pig. God is powerful and in His name we can do anything! If you think someone is possessed call someone who walks with Christ. Christ is the answer to this world! Now you might say God doesn't exist and we can debate on everything I said for many years, but think about this: why are there demons? Where there is darkness there must be light.

Its most definitely based in fact, once upon a time a woman was living with a dentist... Then they just made the rest up

Life isn't like the movies... Real monsters dont vanish when the sun rises

Most of the real life events can be explained away by using common sense, or by simply assuming that people are less than completely honest when there's money to be made - selling a slightly tattered book as 'very good' condition on Amazon for example. The events in the film meanwhile are complete *beep*

I don't necessarily believe that people who claim to have paranormal experiences are lying, I just don't believe that they're interpreting situations with as much common sense or understanding as a majority of people would. Many of the individuals who are involved in these types of events have been found to have underlying issues, admit that they want to be seen as being different or simply admit some time after the event that the event was nothing more than an elaborate hoax.

When I was younger, I had a few "experiences" and can honestly say that as an adult I now see them as what they were - an immature mind wrongly interpreting a situation. I many ways, it's like a placebo effect - if you believe something will happen, it'll happen.
