Worth a re-watch.....

Upon re-watching this movie recently, I have new appreciation for it.

The key is, leave all of your expectations (from the 80's TV show) behind, and judge this movie as a stand-alone. If you're a fan of Michael Mann and his style....this is actually a very cool film.

I judged it too harshly the first time around.
Anyone else feel the same?

The movie is fantastic and has a cult following. Especially if you treat it as it's own film away from the series (like you said).

It is a great movie, and its reputation will keep growing over time. People need to approach it as a Michael Mann movie and not as a pastiche of the TV series.
