I cried--I loved the dancing scene, I loved the way Edith spared Casanova's feelings, knowing he was about to die; I wish they could have reunited at the end or it was like the scene of Jack and Rose at the end of Titanic. What a beautiful movie.

We all did. (There were about 6 of us squeezed onto someone's bed with the laptop on a desk; we had a very productive study leave. We also watched Saw - a clever film, but a shame about Elwes)

I'm anespeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericumbobulations...

Yes, I cried. It was so sad. but did you think it was a meeting in heaven or a last dream?

RTD doesn't believe in an afterlife from what I understand, doubt he would put one in a movie.

Oh I cried a lot in the ending, the tragic story (a typical english novel). I simply loved it, even though it's sad and I wished he could see her once again before he died :(

35 mm film will never die

I cried like a girl (and I am a girl so I know what I'm talking about!).

The obscure we see eventually, the obvious takes a little longer.
