*Puts hand up*

Indeed, poor Giacomo

I think I can just about be summed up by one smiley... But I couldn't find which.

reply

It's when they show him and Henriette dancing again. The music gets me every time. :-(

reply

I always cry at the end when him and Henriette dance.
Of course, thats assuming im not already crying
Im usually pretty distraught at that point but then, that scene makes me hysterical.

reply

Me. I blubbed like a baby. So much so that I was bunged up for a couple of hours afterwards. That's probably more information than you really needed...

:o)

reply

Yep. It's them dancing that really makes me crack up. I mean I'm usually already crying by the time I get to "she's almost here...she's here," but when I see them dancing I just fall apart.

reply

Yes.... it's the hope in his voice when he asks about Henriette...

And that you know the end has come when she says "She's here" - it can only mean one thing...

I was just so sad at the end, they did it so well because he was such a git to her (old casanova to the maid)but she cared for him anyway anad saved his feelings about the letter it was so nice and sweet and awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

She ripped up the letter knowing that Henriette was dead, and when he asks her where Henriette is and she says "She's coming." I started crying, because I knew what it meant. I gasped, and then my eyes welled up. And when she said, "She's here.." I just about lost it. It was the dancing at the end combined with the music that really got me though. It was an amazing ending.

reply

Oh, jeez, outlasted me: I started crying at "All my life, running and chasing. and reaching out.. and missing, just missing every time... what if I miss, right at the end?" Knowing that he'd missed her by just six months. Just six months. Everything after that just twisted the knife deeper. I could barely breathe by the dance at the end.

reply

I cried and cried and cried like hell as I felt sorry for Giac.....*sniff*.....what can I say.....unforgettable!

Oh I cried like a baby. I started tearing up when Edith got the letter about Henrietta being dead, and then when she was talking to Giacomo, I just lost it. I was crying until the end of the credits, and even a little bit afterwards, too.

It makes me want to see it again though, because there have not been many stories that affect me that deeply.
