Why the hell did you like this movie?

This is a real question, I'm interested. Because I find it really bad. I just don't understand how you could like it.
The story in the past manages to be both over-simplistic and underwhelming, yet it was still the one I preferred. The future story is terribly far fetched, and the present greys-anatomy-story let me voiceless.
When they found how to cure Izzi's disease 5 seconds after her final attack, the movie was just dead to me. I mean this is so cheap, I didn't expect that in an Aronofsky.

So if you like it please share your reason!
Are you religious? Are you a big fan of through-the-ages-love-stories? Do you like Wolverine?

I found it fascinating. I had to concentrate on it. I thought, yes, felt, Hugh Jackman's caring was very palpable. And it was just bizarre enough that I liken it to 2001: A Space Odyssey. You have to have a really open mind to appreciate The Fountain.

I've only seen it once, and loved it!

Yes, I like Fantasy genre films, Hugh Jackman, and Rachel Weisz, so I did want to like it when I popped in the DVD. But wanting to like a film doesn't mean I will, there are plenty of posts from me on Moviechat starting "I wanted to like this, but... (bashing and criticism follows)".

I loved it. The excellent performances from the actors drew me into the central quest, the dreamlike Fantasy sequences were so beautiful I accepted them, the central theme of an inability to deal with loss resonated with me on a purely emotional level. I think this film succeeded at being a non-linear, role-sharing, complex, emotionally touching film, where "Cloud Atlas" failed. "Cloud Atlas" really sucked.

I didn't like it. My cable only gave it Two stars!
