Ive seen gory movies like the Saw quadrilogy and love them. Ive also seen others like Captivity and Hostel which i fairly enjoyed. But, August Underground.. I mean come what the hell. It was just sick. I couldnt stomach watching anymore. I turned off after i saw the first victim.
I personally dont know how anyone can enjoy watching anything like this.
Personally I refuse to watch this because I want a movie with an actual story and shock for shock's sake does little for me.

While movies like this may not be that "enjoyable" per se, I do think it is "valuable" for even a part time cinefile to at least experience them. Just like anything else (food, wine, music, etc.), one needs to define and refine one's tastes.
