Did anyone else think this project was X-Men related?

Because I sure did... and was really excited about it until I read the description and found out it had nothing to do with everyone's favourite Cajun X-Man. So yeah, just wondering.

This is a 1966 Michael Caine film being remade:

It could have been a remake of any of the other 'Gambit' titles:
http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=gambit&x=0&y=0

It might have been a film about a Nero Wolfe novel:

Or it could have been a movie about any of the other meanings of gambit:

Possibly even a chess film:

Gambit first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #266 (August 1990). The film was made 24 years before he was made! The term gambit has been established long before writer Chris Claremont thought of the fictional kinetically manipulative mutant and before artist Mike Collins inked him.

I most certainly did, I was looking up Lisa Bonet and saw the title Gambit and thought, Yeah!! my favorite X-Man Gambit, but my dismay it's not. But I hope to see Gambit in any, any Marvel Comic movie, i will be delighted.
