Really she is much more beautiful. Jennifer Connelly looks like a man or a 12 year old boy. She is as skinny as a refugee in Afghanistan. Kate is much more beautiful a better actress, and doesn't act like a b!tchy ice princess. My mom and I can't stand Jennifer Connelly. when my mom first saw thew movie she said...Ugh, not that huzzy. Why do men think Jennifer is more beautiful????

IMHO, Kate looks absolutely gorgeous(for my eyes)over Jenni (even without much make-up or any fancy dress). In this film in particular she was oozing with sensuality. No disrespect to jenni, she used to look good at younger age. They're both beautiful, with different strengths, for different reasons.

If you actually want to trash Jennifer Connelly for her looks, you obviously haven't seen her in Career Opportunities, riding that mechanical horse.

I have jennifer beautiful since once upon a time in America, a beautiful mind and many others. However in this movie she was way too skinny.

I know this is a troll but I wanted to respond because this is actually very relevant to the movie's story, lol.

it wasn't until after watching the movie that I understood that Winslet's character was supposed to be significantly less physically attractive than Connelly's and that this was actually a significant thing to the plot. I did not really get that at all watching the movie (there was that little montage comparison but I didn't pay it that much attention) I mean.....idk I think both actresses are very nice looking, and if Winslet's character being that much "uglier" or Connelly's character being that much "prettier" was that big of a deal maybe they should have casted differently?
