Simply stated, this is the best film of 2007. Does anyone agree?

Best film from 2007? Well, I have seen my share of films made in 2007 but I haven't seen ALL of them.
Anyway IMO the best film from that year is Carlos Reygadas' masterpiece: Stellet Licht (Silent Light).
"Le scaphandre et le papillon" comes close behind, it's one of the best films from 2007. Some of them: There Will be Blood, The Counterfeiters, No Country For Old Men, Mongol, Persepolis, 12, Lust Caution, La vie en rose, Atonement.

Actually 2007 was a pretty good year for movies unlike 2008 where WALL-E and The Dark Knight are being considered to win the Oscar for Best Picture!

Oh yes, this film was absolutely beautiful. It was emotionally draining though, ripping my heart out half way through. Amazing job of making you feel like you were trapped and clausterphobic along with the actor. Beautiful beautiful story. Moving on to the book now
