Bad Santa is a close runner-up, but you simply cannot beat this as a dissection of the true meaning of Christmas.

I'm watching "The Ice Harvest" right now. But I still like "A Christmas Story" better. Especially since I grew up in Ohio in the 50s and remember those winters quite well.

Hardly. Bad Santa is far, far superior. This was just a lame noir with next to no humour.

I always thought Die Hard as a great Xmas movie... Maybe even DH2. Ice Harvest isn't bad...

Watched it last year as part of a Christmas marathon with Brazil and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and doing it again tonight. I like this movie a little more every time I watch it. The Ref is still my favorite Christmas movie though.

This also makes the usual December rotation though. Likewise Black Christmas, Bad Santa, Eyes Wide Shut et al.
