When will movie makers stop casting Devin Aoki as a sex symbol? Simply put, she's hideous to look at. I place DOA's abject failure squarely on her ugly face in the middle of the poster.

I totally agree with you man. She must've slept with all the producers to get a role in movies. She looks freaking weird and badass ugly! I remember seeing her for the first time in Sin City and I was like 'Wtf?! Is her face for real'. Kasumi... Aoki doesn't even have any tits. Thank God Jessica Alba was cast in Sin City or I could've been permanently blinded by Aoki's face.

I agree with angelo. Devon Aoki is not ugly, but she doesn't resemble Kasume at all.

Kasumi has a double D or whatever, while Devon is rather flat chested.
Secondly, Kasumi looks rather cheerfull while Devon always looks kind off pissed
What killed it for me was her horrible acting. When she first spoke I was like "Wtf with the effing monotone! Kasumi is supposed to be spirited and cutesy!" She's supposed to be determined and kinda melancholic because she has to leave her clan to look for her brother but it sounded like she was over the intercom reading off the school lunch menu. It didn't help that she wasn't that cute looking either. I may be a girl and I played the game mostly for the fighting but that doesn't mean I'm completely immune to the staple of the game which was the cute and busty girls. She definitely bought (or slept) her way into the industry because she has nothing going for her in the looks or talent department. Poor girl.
*so I'm just going to keep my expectations low and hopefully this movie won't totally blow*

You are not alone; I also found Devon Aoki rather . . . odd-looking. From the ears back and the neck down she looks great, but there is just something weird about her face. It is like her cheeks and chin are puffed out and her mouth really droops down at the edges, making her face look like a melting ventriloquist dummy's face. Fortunately the other women are all attractive looking and more than makes up for it. I especially liked Holly Valance and Natassia Malthe.

Personally i don't find Devon Aoki that ugly, i mean if she would offer me a banging session, i wouldn't say no, but its just that she aint a sex symbol, she is not on par with all those babes in the movie. Sarah Carter and Holly Valance are just ... mmmmmmm lol Natassia Malthe has that exotic look, pretty eyes, she is super hot and even Jaime who is not in her 20th anymore(and i found her a bit old to play Tina) is still a hot blonde with a great body. Then you have Kasumi, one of the main characters of the serie if not THE main character and one of the most beloved by fan, being played by a very average girl with no breast and a wooden face. Didn't worked well... I guess they casted her and Jaime Presley for name recognition, because people know them. People would say "oh yeah that girl from 2 fast 2 furious..."
