Be honest, did you see the twist coming?
There are 2 types of people who watched this movie.
1. Everyone who did not see the twist coming.
2. Liars.
I don’t believe in ghosts but I’d pee myself if I saw one

There were a couple of twists in this movie. As each was revealed, I could think, 'Yeah, well I could have suspected that...'
But there was a twist that threw me completely for a loop - won't say which one - but it put this film above other, similar films I've seen of this genre.
Is it what I think it is?

I'm not lying, but I did see the twist coming. I paused the movie at about forty-five minutes in, and just sat and thought about it. Don't judge me.
Originally, I had thought that the mugger was Lucinda's husband. Close enough.
The one thing that made me guess that Lucinda might be a con artist is how convenient it was that she paid for Charles' ticket; much too convenient to be a coincedence. Another thing was that the mugger came in the second before they were about to have sex. It wasn't anything concrete at the time, but it stood out for some reason.
I at one point thought that Charles' wife might be in on it too. Yeah, I don't know where that one came from. Overthinking is my friend.
Anywho, no, I'm not lying; yes, I guessed about Lucinda, even though I wasn't positive. An okay movie, but I was expecting more, since the "big reveal" happened quite early in the movie.
Hey, at least Charles grew a pair by the end.

I saw the twist coming the moment I saw the jail.
ok jokes aside, some of the reasonings you guys give for seeing the twist are pretty random.
I had an inkling that Lucinda may have been in on it simply because LaRoche wasn't going after her for money, he was only going after Charles. He took both their wallets and that would have included her ID as well. She had a good job, she had a husband and a child, why wasn't she being threatened and blackmailed for money? But I have to admit I certainly wasn't certain and it would have been a fair while into the movie before I really thought about it.
I enjoyed the film and it was good to see JA play a different role, not the nice, girl next door type of role, but the baddie this time.
Totally agree! I pride myself on guessing twists/endings but didn't see this one coming!
Do guys like "the thing"?
They like it better than no thing.
Honestly I did not see the "twist" coming but I wasn't all that surprised at all. I suspect when it comes to the really good cons, you'll never see them coming. Seeing's how a really good con artist makes their living doing this day in and day out, its to their advantage to learn the script and know it by heart. I could tell that she (Jennifer's character) was so good at playing the role you just knew that she had done this before.
I could relate to Clive Owen's character a lot because I'm the father of a "special needs" child myself and the thought of some parasite having control of my bank accounts is very scary Indeed.
I liked the movie, I thought the subject matter was very believable. I wouldn't want to be in Clive Owen's shoes that's for sure. I may have to seek this out on DVD and watch it again!
I saw it coming halfway through the film, but the nail in the coffin was the scene at her apartment.
It looked like a set up.

I guessed the main twist when LaRoche showed up at Schine's house. He just cleaned up too well, seemed too much like a legitimate businessman to be some random thug. I said to my wife at the beginning of that scene, "I think I just figured something out, but I don't know if you want me to tell you because it would be a spoiler". As I guessed she would, she said, "Tell me! Tell me!" She had kinda guessed the same thing at that point though.
My wife and I were both dubious about Jennifer Aniston's character being named "Lucinda Harris" right away, but that wasn't enough to enable me to guess the twist before I did.
The final twist, that LaRoche was still alive, I did not guess.
By the way, I usually suck at guessing twists (and partially because I don't want to guess them, as unlike my wife, I hate spoilers), and I don't mind admitting that, but this one I guessed.

Someone let me know that the film had a twist and with that one mention I figured it out pretty much straight away
shareNot initially, but the twist did cross my mind about 15mins before it happened.
sharei didnt see it coming! but that might of had something to do with the fact i was only 15 the first time i saw it.
