Be honest, did you see the twist coming?

There are 2 types of people who watched this movie.
1. Everyone who did not see the twist coming.
2. Liars.

I did not see the con twist until he went to see the girl and she disappeared.

But I did have a feeling that the rapist survived as he was one that didn't seem to take a fatal shot and you didn't see his body when the cops showed up, only the other 3.

I also did think Charlie was the one writing the story, as they used his voice to narrate it from the start and didn't show the face of the writer.

Overall I found the movie entertaining. Plus I didn't see any trailers as they apparently ruin the movie for some.

If you want the best and I mean the BEST plot twist, go see the film "Shutter Island" coming out, next year I think. From a book by Dennis Lehane, (Mystic River), it stunned me and I can usually predict twists pretty well. Just a word of advice. Dont read the book first or it will ruin the movie for you. All this relies on whether the film follows the book, and if they dont theyre crazy! They couldnt possibly improve on the book.

Nope, knew nothing was up with Lucinda 'til I heard who she really was from the front desk worker.

reply

Nope, I didn't see the twist.

I suspected it but never went 'Aha! That's the twist!'

I guessed she was in on it early in the picture because I've seen it before in other films. I didn't suspect the twist that Larouche would survive the bullet wound, at least not without severe disability. I also did not suspect that Charles would get up the chutzpah to shiv the stinking goniff. What I don't understand is how Charles is supporting his family now that he's a convicted embezzler.

I saw it coming 20 min into the film... Really predictable.

It was kind of obvious that the woman was in on it. She "helps" him with the fare, she's "raped" while he's knocked out, she doesn't want to get the cops involved, she's married to some guy we never see, and it was strange how they met in the lobby at her work every time. It felt wrong, somehow.
I was just waiting for him to spot them kissing each other, basically.

An okay movie - too bad they had to add that silly ending in prison.

I wasn't paying an awful lot of attention to the film so missed all the earlier clues, it was only when he went to her place of work and asked for Lucinda and someone else was pointed out that it hit me.

This movie was on in the background so I wasn't really paying attention - in fact I missed all of the scenes between them getting mugged in the hotel room and when Charles is in the car with the black guy. But when Charles went up to Lucinda's apartment (when the bad guys are there) and she said something like 'they must have followed me' I straight away said 'she's in on it!' I don't know, something about how she said that line seemed like a lie (I guess that's good acting).
