Help me understand why this show is funny

The second this show comes on, I'm already bored. I feel like I should like it, being Canadian and all, but I can't seem to watch it for more than 2 minutes without falling into a deep sleep.

If it helps, I enjoy shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm, King of the Hill, Seinfeld, Strangers With Candy...

The humor is quirky and plays off the interactions of the characters in a small town. I guess it's one of those shows where you either get it or you don't. I get it and really like this show.
