Good Movie but a Creepy Actor

I just saw Catch and Release with my girlfriend this past weekend and we both liked the movie. Jennifer Garner as the lead played her role well and so did Kevin Smith, who I'd never seen play himself in anything else other than the Jay and Silent Bob flicks. Let me know if you agree with me on this, but I think Timothy Olyphant, who played the male lead opposite of Jennifer Garner, is a bit creepy looking, but I guess hes an ok actor. Aside from the creepy looking actor, any couple should enjoy this movie. So go see it.

Hmmm....

I just caught this on tv for the first time. Never was that interested as I saw it as a B movie.

I think Timothy Olyphant is good looking, and is way better looking than Barry Watson, who he's been compared to in his looks. As far as his acting style. I wouldn't have expected him to win an oscar for this role. Just saying that up front. But I like actors who are off the main stream. Look at actors such as James Dean and Marlon Brando. Granted, they are legends. I just wonder if in a meaty role, whether we would feel better about Timothy. I didn't notice his teeth either like some of the posts I've read. I guess whenever they focused on his mouth, I was either being charmed by his sweet smile or hoping to see him in another kissing scene. He's sexy! Come on!

OK enough about Timothy. I cannot deal with Jennifer's mouth!!!! That was the most distraction thing in that movie.

On another post the little boy is mentioned. I agree that he was an odd little kid.

ok so honestly,
Timothy Olyphant is incredible
Hes a good actor,
speaks with his eyes
and is not at all creepy
if creepy is the new sexxy,
then he is the creepiest man alive.
Jennifer Gardner is always amazing,
shes so cute Im jealous.
Kevin Smith is also amazing.
Hilarious delivery on lines.

Not a bit creepy. Can play very creepy characters. I think that he is extremely "over the top" in this role because he is supposed to be some "Hollywood" hot shot. Check him out in HITMAN!

I agree. I was really disappointed that they hooked up in the movie. Maybe it was Olyphant, maybe it was the lack of character development, but either way I didn't like him at all. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm glad someone else thought he didn't fit either.

How can anyone with some brain claim that Jennifer Garner is a good actress and Timothy Olyphant is "creepy" or an "ok actor"? Seriously.
The "creepy looking actor", as you, jealous man, call him, was pretty much the only good thing about this movie.

Yes!! I thought he was creepy too. Thank God I'm not the only one. Something about his stares is very unsettling to me. It feels like he's possessed or something.. And he always smiles or something like it when it's inappropriate to do so, or no reason to.
