Good Movie but a Creepy Actor

I just saw Catch and Release with my girlfriend this past weekend and we both liked the movie. Jennifer Garner as the lead played her role well and so did Kevin Smith, who I'd never seen play himself in anything else other than the Jay and Silent Bob flicks. Let me know if you agree with me on this, but I think Timothy Olyphant, who played the male lead opposite of Jennifer Garner, is a bit creepy looking, but I guess hes an ok actor. Aside from the creepy looking actor, any couple should enjoy this movie. So go see it.

Timothy Olyphant is just a naturally, very intense looking guy.

I thought he was incredibly hot, especially when his hair was messed up and he was smiling naturally. I can see how some people might think he is creepy, he says alot with his expressions, doesn't need to talk alot.

No creepiness noticed here. First time I noticed Tim was in the Girl Next Door..he was fantabulous! The role seemed tailored for him. I didn't believe that he could pull off a romantic lead character, but how wrong was I? I thought he was perfectly suited for the role. It's always nice to see bad boys show their sensitive sides and for me, he justified his character very nicely, thank you. And I hafta add that I find him so, so sexy. A true hottie in my books.

This was the first time I'd ever seen Tim and I was instantly drawn to him. I didn't find anything "creepy" about him except for some of the character traits that were written into his role specifically to come across as creepy. Remember, Gray never understood why Grady was friends with him. She also thought he was a bit of a creep. His hair and tan and too white teeth are perfectly suited for a character who is meant to be a hotshot Hollywood type.
I thought he was hot as hell in this role! This movie and soundtrack totally made me happy. A perfect feel good movie, IMHO. Different strokes for different folks!

Well it's definately subjective. I personally think he's handsome and would never consider the words 'creepy' and 'Timothy Olyphant' in the same sentence.

Now, on the other hand, an actor that *I* personally find 'creepy' is Cillian Murphy, and I bet if I went over to his board and said that he was creepy hundreds of girls would disagree with me. There's something very sinister about his eyes......

I agree with the OP. Hes good looking, but has this creepy, should-be-playing- a-serial-killer vibe. I think its his Jack Nicholson grin that makes me feel that way.

I actually found him totally sexy in this movie...

Honestly, from when I first saw him in 'Scream 2' I always thought he was creepy, because he managed to pull off that crazy, scary 'villain-type' guy very effectively.

I didn't realize he was the same guy when I watched this movie at first, but I DID notice he looked very similar to Barry Watson in certain parts - and I think that's when I started to notice how attractive he was. He does give off this intense look, but for the context of this movie I thought it worked and made him appealing. Frankly, I liked his teeth... and I much prefer seeing his pearly whites rather than some stained average ones. And I appreciate this movie more because of Timothy (which I can't believe I'm saying)

Loved that first kiss... ooh, and his body ain't bad-looking either...

he is an awesome actor who the studios have yet to find a role that suites him.

in the begining of the movie i thought he was a little creepy, or sleezy. but he got a little more attractive going into the movie. i totally think he's hot now. hehe...

I don't think he is creepy looking, I think he is f-in hot.

I think that Timothy Olyphant is sexy as hell. His smile kills me. Even when he's playing a bad guy, I can't take my eyes off him.

Yum.

I second that, i think it's cool he's playing a role like this. He's very sexy and talented.

He has played some creepy type characters, so perhaps its just unusual to see him in something with romance. The first time I saw him was in The Girl Next Door, where he played a pimp/porn film director/agent. I actually thought it was Josh Duhamel from Win A Date With Tad Hamilton......

I have not seen this movie yet, but looking forward to it!
