Was anyone else rooting for Gray/Dennis???

I actually thought it was going to end up that way. Something along the lines of a fling with Fritz but ending up with Dennis, the 'good guy'. I really wanted that to happen because Dennis was sooo sweet and nice, I mean, he threw the wine bottle and then went to pick up the pieces! That shows that he's a great guy! How many men would actually do that? And Fritz was a womanizer who didn't seem like he would last in a committed relationship unlike Dennis who seems pretty much perfect in every way! It doesn't make sense for Gray to lose the cheating fiance and move on with the soon-to-be-cheating friend. I was so disappointed about that...from the moment Dennis appeared on screen I was like OMG MARRY HIM HE'S THE BEST!!! lol

just saw the movie on netflix and I agree with you - Dennis would be my choice too and I was rooting for him too.

I'm just about fed up to the back teeth with Hollywood always sending a nice woman off into the sunset with a player/cad/jerk over the kind/sweet/compassionate guy. I've posted about this before with other movies, and of course, everyone comes out of the woods to tell me how wrong I am and how these cad characters really did change and would never cheat or even look at another woman again and blah blah blah blah.

Dennis was a really attractive character inside and out from start to finish, but oh no, she drives off to Fritz because he's the one with the apparent character arc and he's just so wonderful and makes her have all those special butterflies inside. Never mind she was mere weeks beyond her fiance's death. My heart broke for Dennis. I mean even Sam seemed to end up with Maureen.

No wonder some young girls today have distorted thinking about who make appropriate boyfriends/husbands. I mean if a guy hasn't driven you to weeping and gnashing of teeth and back again, then he really doesn't love you, right?
