Did anyone else besides me like this movie?

I thought 30 Days of Night was the best vampire movie I ever seen. Part 2 sucked ass!

It's the best one I've personally seen too. I can't believe there are quite a few people that didn't like it because how much more can you expect from a vampire movie? It's actually pretty scary like how vampires are supposed to be. I thought they were terrifying looking in this movie, the acting was amazing I though by everyone especially Ben Foster and the people that played the vampires. I like that it took place in a snowy small town in the dark, made it more creepy and there was actually a lot of blood unlike some "other" so called vampire movies.

I agree. I loved it! I'm usually a wimp when it comes to "blood and guts", but for some reason, it didn't bother me with this one.

I was very suprised at how much I liked it. Good atmosphere, great vampires!

I liked it. I think it has the best setting for a vampire movie. Just thinking about being in that town for 30 days of complete darkness with those vampires still scares the s*** out of me.

You can count me in on this one.
I did like this and I think it's one of the best vampire movies I've
seen in a long time.

I loved it and I'm shocked that this movie isnt rated at least a 7.

I think it deserves a higher rating too. While flipping channels, I happened upon the opening scene, which I found stunning, and for the next 2 hours I never moved.

This is a genuinely scary horror film, with lots of suspense and doesn't rely solely on gross-out scenes for thrills, although there is plenty of gore.

Some of the things I liked most were that the vampires were evil, vicious and sadistic, as they should be,(not sexy at all, contrary to most modern depictions!) and that the sheriff (Josh Hartnett) as was NOT portrayed as a vampire-fighting, fearless superhero, but as as someone who was just as frightened and confused as any of us would be in this situation. That made this movie more realistic and even more scary.

Oh, and the ariel view of the attack was simply brilliant and horrific.

aye this movie was friggin awsome!

I thought I'd watch a film I really didn't have to think about too much (after watching Hunger and feeling a bit numb), you know, an "easy-listening" film. However, 30 days of night is so incredibly awful that even after the first 30 minutes I just don't feel it is worth my time!

Shame really.

This is, of course, IMHO :]

It's definitely in the top 3 for me. LOVE this movie and it's depiction of vampires.
