Why were the characters so stupid.

Let's take the fat bearded guy. He has a perfectly good weapon (the mechanical chainsaw car thing), which did pretty well at killing the zombies. And he managed to get all the vampires off and got them chasing him. Does he turn it around to kill the vampires? No! He decides to crash it into a building! Which, of course, causes him to become disoriented and leads him to get out of the vehicle.

Ever heard of a plot point or a plot device?

All of these things pretty much happen in horror movies to get the story going. Not doing that wouldn't advance the story and you'd be watching a 3 hour film.

This is probably the most stupid film I have ever seen.

Probably just turned the age where your parents will let you watch horror movies and this is one of your first? Because there are a LOT of stupid movies out there.

You clearly haven't been around panicking people in dangerous situations... a lotttt of people in real life do dumb things under stress

Some of your points are absurd though, the bearded guy used the construction machine well for 30 seconds becausemit surprised them. They're super strong, super fast vampires- they would have been on him in no time, its not like the machine gave him much of any cover at all.. hence the explosion hopeful strategy

In terms of the main guy going 'vampire' at the end, he was out of options and his wife was about to burn to death. At any rate its fairly obvious that these vampires, as cold as they were, had SOME self control and strategy. Its safe to say that Evan would have a bit too when turned

The complaints are weak. Criticizing a character for calling out for his father in vampire town is silly because, again, people do stupid things when emotional and stressed, and especially when scared. Some people have a more focused will to survive than others.

If you find things like that so unbelievable, you need to watch more news on tragedies.. there are essentially people who have walked into fire, so to speak, when not thinking straight in high tense scenarios

If i go crazy will you still call me Superman?

When Malekai crashed into Stella at the beginning of the film, he told her that the brakes were trashed. (In the book they explained that the Stranger had sabotaged it) Beau took it out knowing he would not be able to control it for long because he had no way to slow it down. This was explained a lot better in the book.
