Profoundly Unlikeable People

Vincent Chase - Far too bland and forgettable to convince as a movie star. He just has to fart and women want him for some reason.

Eric Murphy - Perhaps the least likeable character of all of them by far (the irony being that he's clearly supposed to be the most likeable -- the heart of the show -- but he's just deeply unappealing).

Johnny Drama - Occasionally ridiculous but essentially quite likeable due to his innate dopiness.

Turtle - Probably the most likeable.

Ari Gold - The character that actually makes this show work. Always fun, entertaining and sympathetic even when he's being a dick.

the simpsons and napoleon dynamite have the same "all characters are unlikeable" thing going. it works for me.

also turtle is the most unlikeable. just a wigger who does nothing

Ari's fun but yeah, the rest of them are spoiled idiots. And I agree, E is supposed to be likeable, but he's nothing more than a idiot whose whole life is put on a plate for him by Vincent. He pretends he works hard and is his own man, but he really isn't.

Never seen a single episode of this show but I'm not surprised. I had a "friend" once whose favorite show was this, and that guy was the living embodiment of a douchebag. He was an aspiring actor trying to break into the industry, but only for the most superficial reasons (money, status, pussy etc).

On top of that, he was also a lazy, arrogant cunt. He was the kinda guy who leeched off his girlfriend while he himself spent most of his days either playing hockey or playing video games, as a result of his inability to land roles. The guy seems to have never worked a single hard day in his life, as he came from a rich family who pampered him from the day he was born, and who are also likely responsible for his inflated sense of ego and entitlement. Dude also loved bragging about having a moderately attractive girlfriend when others called him out for the kind of piece of shit he is.

No surprise that someone with those characteristics would pick this as their favorite show.

Unlikeable yes. Yet highly engaging. Ari, Drama, and Lloyd are worth the price of admission for me. They are absolutely hilarious, as are the endless parade of celebrity cameos.

Turtle is pretty useless but agree most likeable, and yes Vince is extremely bland and aloof but it kinda works.

For me I can't stand E. He's annoying, condescending, and I genuinely laugh out loud whenever he's trying to be a tough guy. It's like bro you're 5'2 109 pounds. Who is their right mind would ever be scared of you?
