Ok i get Ryan wanted to look good for his shirtless scenes, but jesus fucking Christ dude looked like a action figure, his pecs, his abs, looked like he was chiseled out of fucking stone or something. I forget what George's job was, i think it was construction, but no normal dude who works construction or whatever has a body like that, no fucking way.

Dude looked like he was a UFC fighter or something, like get the fuck outta here.

No dude in the 70's who has a normal job and doesn't go to the gym has a fucking body like Ryan Reynolds had in this. Ryan showed up looking ridiculously jacked for a role that didn't require it, he wasn't playing fucking Batman or Superman, he was playing a normal dude who works a dead end job and barely has anything.

How about look the part of the role you're playing and not worry about how good you look shirtless for a few scenes.

My ex-husband was an Electrician and he had a body like Ryan Reynolds. Some men like to look like that all the time.

And we never see him go to the gym once in the movie, Reynolds got too ripped cause he wanted to look great for his shirtless scenes, George Lutz never went to the gym, he was not a big fit guy in real life, this was a very inaccurate portrayal of the character cause Reynolds wanted to look like a greek god for his countless shirtless scenes. Cause screw trying to somewhat look like the character you're playing as long as you look good shirtless on screen.

Do you really need to see him go to the gym in the movie to make it more realistic for you? Come on. It's a cheesy horror flick. I don't mean to sound rude but let it go. It's kinda silly.

Even simpler answer... it's a movie. If the OP wants realism he needs to stick to documentaries.

As I said before, my ex had a body like Ryan Reynolds and he was an Electrician. He hit the gym for 2 hours every day after work and 4 hours on the weekend.

I always laugh when I see this movie! George Lutz was a big guy, but he was like a bear. He didn't look like he downed a protein shake every three hours and watched the carbs! 😂
