Simple as that...I remember seeing this movie in a cinema with 0 expectations and I was blown away by the camera work and special effects.
The plot is forgetable but let's face it, the majority blockbuster movies are lacking in that aspect. The action however kept going and jets are so rare in movies, it's a shame Stealth didn't get a sequel.
I don't get the love, but then again, this is a dead carry-over thread and the majority of praises all sound the same so it's probably a publicity stunt.
The movie itself was weak on many levels both superficial and fundamentally.
My biggest gripe was the fake sexual tension between Biel and Lucas. She was suppose to be this "real" girl but she had no opinion on Lucas' shitty toupee? None of the actors sold me as being elite fighter pilots. You could almost see the disbelief in the real life naval crew as they played background characters on the aircraft carrier.
