Hit. I thought that with a few tweaks here and there you could have a seriously good horror movie on your hands, the opening hour was exquisitely creepy but it sort of fell apart near the end. The house itself and cinematography was excellent, as was the score.

very very bad "horror" movie. not one scary moment. acting is terrible. script and story are worse.

HIT - i am a big horror fan this film delivers apart from a few things I would have done differently) - pluses - setting and era...removes the need to try and explain lack of lighting or problems with communication - mixes sub genres fairly well..elements of ghosts, demons, werewolves etc ...minuses...not much - hard to like any of the characters

HiT! Ten out of ten, I'd go so far as to call this a perfect horror film. I had never heard of it till I read a review on AintItCoolNews on the birthday of HP Lovecraft saying it was set in a Lovecraftian style universe. This is a film Howard Phillips would have been proud of, no doubt in my mind.

Entire cast is perfect, this truly deserves more credit.
