Vote- Hit or Miss
Vote if this is worth seeing or not.
shareIt was a dragged out slow moving silly horror film that used occasional gore and the same silly gimmick over and over. It had no real substance and made little sense. Every time a little kid's face was hidden or someone was looking out a window you knew they were going to use that cheap weird face gimmick once again. This film seems as if someone said "Hey we have hardly any budget to speak of...BUT, I burrowed these civil war uniforms from another movie...and I know about an old farm we can use...let's make some money off the suckers! ". Unfortunately they made a mess instead of a movie.
Avoid this, there are so many better horror films out there. The sad part is the acting isn't half bad.

I'd say its a miss. I saw it last night with a few friends and we were really expecting something good since I've heard good things about it. Despite some sudden shocking images, I didn't really think it was THAT great. A good storyline I think, but it was too slow and not good enough as a horror. Should have been less suspense and more actually scary stuff.
shareYes from me. I thought this movie was excellent.
"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"
Hit. But yes, several large plot holes.
shareHIT!
In comparison to what passes for horror/sci-fi these days, ie., ALL of the Saturday Night crappers on The Syfy network...
...this movie is a masterpiece.
Mind ya', I'M NOT SAYING IT IS A CLASSIC, but it wasn't bad, and I liked it.
Worth seeing.

Did someone say watch Ghost Ship instead? Dead Birds wasn't a masterpiece, but it's 20 times better than Ghost Ship.
Watch this movie if you like Lovecraftian elements.
Miss.
It was incredibly boring. I guessed in correct order who would die. Mind you I didn't pick the ending however.
A terribly executed movie that reminded me of yet another bad horror movie from the early 90s called Scarecrows.
Seeing as I've seen the follow-up to this movie Red Sands and found that movie to be incredibly bad as well, I have no high hopes for this director/writer, but I may be pleasantly surprised.
Somehow I doubt it very much.
