One of the worst movies I've ever seen

I mean it was jaw droppingly terrible. I was expecting something along the lines of Gandhi or Chariots of Fire or Driving Miss Daisy or Forrest Gump, something that wasn't nearly as good as whatever it was competing against, but at least sort of well made. I really couldn't believe it. I feel like I actually had to pause it a few times just to take in how terrible it was. How could this possibly have been nominated for *beep* anything? Brokeback Mountain winning the award would have been pure politics, but this was okay? For the record, I don't love Brokeback Mountain or Capote or Good Night Good Luck (haven't seen Munich yet) but literally any of those would have been better. I honestly don't understand how the film's cast isn't crippled with embarrassment anytime it gets brought up.

If you like this movie, honestly, please tell me why. Because everyone I've talked to who says they like it also says they haven't seen since it came out and/or they don't remember anything.

Since you don't understand it would be cruel to explain. May I attend you to some of Michael Bay's work? It is my understanding that it could be more to your liking. Ask someone to Google it for you!

Why THIS Is The Worst Best Picture Winner In Oscar History

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1D8l14Ar8k

Every year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences comes together at The Oscars to give out awards to the years best films. Most of the time the top prize of Best Picture goes to the film that stands out above the rest. Best Picture is supposed to not only recognize the cast and crew for their achievements, but also tell the general public which movies they should go see. Though, more than a few times, The Academy hasn't always given The Oscar to the most deserving film. Which in turn leads to some of these Oscar Winners for Best Picture being forgotten before they are able to cement their legacy. Sometimes The Oscars completely misses the mark, and lets a golden opportunity pass them by.

I thought the plot was bad, even before the end when it seems like Matt Dillon's character rescuing her from the crash is somehow supposed to redeem his character molesting her earlier, which left me with a yucky, shrill feeling. Like the whole movie was manufactured just for the sake of having that garbage anti-moral

And the rest of the plots were dumb, racist (while spokenly trying their best NOT to be racist while being incredibly racist): black guys steal cars, middle easterns are aggressive terrorists and cheap asses, etc etc

When the black mom says "it's all your fault.. YOU did this!!" To her one black lawyer son concerning the death of her other black son who hadn't even been in one scene together, it makes me Lol
