Are you getting tired of Vince Vaughn playing the exact same character?

I'll admit, he plays it well, and its not like all other Hollywood stars have exceptional range, but Vince seems to have the easiest job in the world.

I don't think he has to actually do anything other than show up and memorize some new lines (a lot of the scenes are probably improvised anyway) - its the exact same speech, delivery, facial expressions and mannerisms.

I used to wonder where the enthusiasm was coming from for Vince Vaughn. Now, I've come to really appreciate his style and like the role he usually plays. He is very convincing when he has to stop being the clown and let his sincere honest self show through. That is very endearing. Very sexy.

Nah I find it comforting and expected. Which is why type-casted actors continuously get type-casted. People know what to expect.

Well I like Vince. Yes he plays the same part. So does Tom Cruise. TOm always plays a "p r i c k" who learns not to be a "p r i c k".
I will see Vince film b4 a Tom Cruise film

He plays himself very well.

Kinda like how Nic Cage can only play himself very well.

And for some reason, both of them get all the major roles, all the money and all the camera time when there are better people for the job who go unnoticed.

I am getting tired of it. I liked his earlier roles in Return to Paradise, Domestic Disturbance and Clay Pigeons, before he became a clown. I added the Psycho remake to my netflix queue, so I'll being seeing that one sometime.

Being inconsistent is better than being consistently bad.

He played a very different role as a single father in A Cool, Dry Place, with Monica Potter and Joey Lauren Adams.

I appreciate most performances by Vince, I think he's hilarious, exactly my type of humour! I just love his reaction to people who are being ridiculous. Simple things like when he's telling his brother to stop looking at him when he's eating the chicken, or the way he looks at Kate's gran when shes talking about pleasuring her husband with her hand and her mouth. And the way he acts when he's on the camera and he knows he's been caught out. Simply hilarious!! I am simple minded, the people rating this movie a 3 or 4 blatantly tried to take this movie too seriously!!

answer to will you ever get tired of watching vince vaughn play the same charactor? my answer...nope. I dont think that i ever will

reply

No. If I like something, I'm not going to complain about getting more of it. You could say that the Marx Brothers played the "same characters" in every film, but I love those characters, so I'm glad they did as many films as they did. I wish they would have done more.

Also, re later comments, we can't know that someone is "playing themselves" unless we know them personally, aside from any public persona they might be projecting (in interviews and such).
