That was so weird when that squid started floating around playing a Pink Floyd song, and that whale quoting Kafka.

I have no problem with a film being weird.

Well five years after do you still think that? Judging by some of your spelling and grammar, nothing wrong with bad spelling or grammar (I'm not that great) but yours was woeful, I thought you might of been like 13 years old or something.

Maybe being older now you may have different thoughts. What seemed weird wouldn't be weird to you as you have seen different things since then.

When I was younger these unconventionally shot movies crept me out and dealings with adult issues. American Beauty like scarred me as a kid. Want to re-watch though.

Its not weird at all.
you should see eraserhead,or just Gummo, or happiness.
these are only the well-known ones, there are a whole lot of real weird movies out there

It was no way near the weirdest film I've ever seen. You do not know weird. You wanna talk weird, go see David Lynch's "Eraserhead", and then come back and tell me this movie was weird.

Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar, and / or doesn't.

It's definitely not the weirdest movie I've seen. It's not even the weirdest movie I've been recently. That honor goes to "Upstream Color" (2013).

"The Squid and the Whale" (2005) reminded me a bit of "Thumbsucker" (2005), "Me and You and Everyone We Know" (2005) and "Little Miss Sunshine" (2006). I guess weird Indie movies about dysfunctional families where "a thing" a decade ago, although I have to say that "The Squid and the Whale" is by far the most disturbing in the list.

Not as weird as Todd Solondz. Try Happiness
