Which is better?

Opinions are like a-holes, but my opinion is that Zero Day is WAY better. I understand what Gus Van Sant was trying to accomplish but in the end, Elephant is just an art house film with more emphasis on visuals than on the story itself. Zero Day is strictly about the story, and that story is told very well.
For me, Zero Day by FAR.
Elephant was hugely unrealistic in my eyes. Zero Day was just realistic and dry. I like that.
Also the final scenes in Elephant were laughable.
I have recently just seen both and I'd say Zero Day by far as well. It seemed like a real documentary, but I do like Elephant.
shareElephant was a really good movie... but when you think about it, while you're watching it you get swept up in the fact that it's a really well made movie, and then you realise that the actual PLOT was kind of crap.
Zero Day was scarily realistic.... but both very good movies.
I think that Zero Day.
shareZero Day. Elephant was good but in the end it was just a bit too artsy. Long scenes of them in the hallways with no dialogue and very little happening. Well, that's Van Sant for you but I didn't think it was all that effective.
shareI have watched zero day for 5 minutes and it's already better then Elephant
Just because you hate it doesn't mean it's bad

I'd say Polytechnique is better, watch it if you liked those two.
<I Will Make You Hurt>
I've put Polytechnique in my Watchlist.
I would recommend State's Evidence myself, as I found it better than both Zero Day and Elephant.
I hope you'll like it, It's from Quebec, Canada so maybe you'll be bugged by the accent or the small budget.. let's hope not. If you want you can tell me what you thought about it.
For my part, "State's Evidence" was already in my watchlist, but haven't seen it yet.
<I Will Make You Hurt>
This one. I hated Elephant. It was boring and the acting was awful.

Zero Day is so much better. The acting and the script is so realistic. You feel like you know these guys and then the end is so horrible.
Elephant didn't do anything to me. The acting was really bad and the plot was so weak. Also I hated that Gus Van Sant use homosexuality as a motive. I don't have a problem with gay people, in fact Brokeback Mountain is one of my favorite movies. But in this movie it just felt forced and completely stupid.
